Wada's signature feature is his mustache which stretches from under his nose all the way to the side end of his chin. He also has slanted eyes and eyebrows, which gives him a stern appearance. He wears the standard Japanese military uniform and hat, along with a heavy coat that kept him warm during the winter.
Wada is a very hot headed and strict man that is prone to yelling at his fellow officers. He is quick to lose his temper and is willing to easily strip a person of their rank when he is not happy with their actions.
As Tsurumi and several of his men watches over a snowy forest from a cliff looking for his missing 7th Division soldiers, Wada came storming in on his horse along with one other soldier. He roared at Tsurumi, who had taken his own men out to Otaru without his permission. He continued to yell at and question Tsurumi for his questionable behavior, pointing at him and telling him that he no longer has a place in the Imperial Japanese army. At this, Tsurumi leaned out and brutally bit his finger off, spitting it out onto Wada's head. Enraged, Wada orders Tsukishima to fire at will, but he betrays and shoots him instead, thus ending Wada's life. His corpse was stripped and buried by Tsurumi's men, who believed that it should make for some nice fertilizer for the plants when spring rolls around.
